Strange Aeons: Rogue Agent WIP

This is my first legit post since... I'm not sure when. Last semester was a brutal finish to a long degree in Fine Art but I am now gradu-amated frum kollege. So, let the wild rumpus start! Many backed-up projects to tackle...

To warm up my hobby skills, I put together an old RAFM miniature I found in the bargain bin a few weeks ago, for US$3.00. Not only was he perfect for Strange Aeons as a Rogue Agent, he came with a lil' casket with a skeleton in it and while it is hard to tell by the casting I do think there is a stake through its chest. Nifty, as I have use for such things.

I cut open the bottom of a Privateer Press base and back-filled with greenstuff. After the sculpting and smoothing was done, I set him on wax paper to cure. Wax paper is handy for allowing the base to cure flat underneath and not stick when it's time to scoop up the mini for trimming and paint.

You better believe the sheriff from Oh Brother Where Art Thou? is inspiration for this guy...

I have one of the old GW blow-molded foam Graveyards and in that cool lil' piece is an open grave with a skeleton inside. I had already cut out the skeleton, intending to replace it with a better jangle of bones but get this, the casket fits perfectly in that crypt and I totally called it when I saw it in the bargain bin. Yes, I am awesome. So I got that going for me. I have that Graveyard trimmed and undercoated for a total repaint and detailing too, expect that completed soon. And by soon I mean taking less than 8 years to complete, like I did working on a degree part time.

Congrats on graduation! I am just working on post-grad myself.
That is a great find...and for 3 bucks? Worth it even without a casket!

Always a great find sometimes in the bargin bins! Love what you have done. I have my Reaper Bones in and working on some new boosts to my Strange Aeons collection.

Nice find. Is he from redcaps? If so that was probably from the lot of 300 or so minis I sold them. My wife bought them at a con about ten years ago and we carted them all over the country. Classic miniatures for sure and great for SA. Look forward to seeing the finished product!

Hey Jon! YES! He is from Redcaps. He came from a good home and I gave him another. I think he's going to be a total badass and he's already fun to paint. Thank your wife for me, for picking him up to begin with! Hope GA is treating you all well.
